ICT Olympiad at DUET CSE Carnival 2026: Compete, Learn, Grow

Today I had the chance to attend the ICT Olympiad in the DUET CSE Carnival 2026 at DUET, Gazipur.

It was a great experience competing alongside talented participants from across the country, testing my knowledge, and learning through healthy competition. Every challenge is another step toward growth.

The Event

The DUET CSE Carnival 2026 brought together computer science students, professionals, and enthusiasts from universities across Bangladesh. The ICT Olympiad was one of the flagship events, challenging participants to solve problems under time pressure and stand out among some of the brightest minds in the field.

Walking into the venue, the energy was palpable. Teams and individuals were arriving with their laptops, notes, and a competitive spirit. The atmosphere wasn't just about winning — it was about pushing boundaries and learning something new.

The Competition

The ICT Olympiad tested a wide range of topics — from data structures and algorithms to networking, databases, and general ICT knowledge. The problems were designed not just to test memorization, but to challenge critical thinking and the ability to apply concepts in novel situations.

What I appreciated most was the balance: the questions were tough enough to keep you thinking, but structured in a way that rewarded methodical problem-solving over raw speed. It was the kind of challenge that leaves you sharper than when you started.

Learning Through Competition

Every round taught me something new — whether it was a concept I hadn't encountered before, or a more efficient way to approach a problem I thought I already knew. The participants around me were incredibly talented, and watching their approaches was as valuable as solving the problems myself.

Every challenge is another step toward growth.

That's not just a tagline. After today, I genuinely feel it. Competing against strong peers doesn't just measure where you are — it shows you where you can go.

Gratitude

Grateful to the organizers and everyone who made this event possible. Running an event of this scale — coordinating participants, preparing problems, managing logistics — is no small feat. The CSE department at DUET and the volunteers behind the carnival deserve real credit for pulling this together.

Looking forward to many more opportunities to learn, compete, and improve!
